The Project

We are developing an exercise machine that allows to select a very precise range of loads. It must have the possibility of applying different loads in concentric phase and eccentric phase. The machine must allow the trainer to analyze the exercise performed in power, torque, speed and position. The machine should be as portable as possible and take up as little space as possible.

TARGET

Apply load through a PMSM motor. Obtain a fast response to maintain torque regardless of the external load applied by means of closed loop regulation and FOC control method.

Technical restrictions:

Domestic power supply

Single-phase power supply

Supply voltage 230 V AC

Maximum power 1000 W

Equipment:

PMSM motor and SVPWM inverter

FUNCTIONALITIES

Wide variation of load and movements that can be selected by the user.

Small footprint.

Load variation in concentric and eccentric phase.

Timed locking of the stroke at maximum point.

Stable torque from start to end of movement.

Calibration and memorization of the movement in position and torque.

Feedback on the exercise performed. Graphs of power, speed, length, time, number of repetitions and stability of movement and load.

IMPACT

We seek to improve people's quality of life, to help solve chronic problems and to allow a healthy practice in an individualized way. Participating in the evolution of functional rehabilitation and in the promotion of sports rehabilitation.
